About Austin Artist Vu Cao
Vu Cao was born in Saigon, Vietnam in 1983 before moving to the United States as a young child. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 and currently resides in Austin, TX. Vu Cao is self-taught artist and has been a student of his craft since his childhood. Vu has studied a full spectrum of art throughout his life, ranging from acrylics and oils to web design and digital media.
Vu Cao paints with composition, balance and "flow" as his highest priorities. He draws his main inspiration from nature. Everything from the feel and texture of natural elements to the spectrum of vibrant colors of a sunset can be seen in his arsenal of artistic method. Vu attempts to capture nature's beauty in his own uniquely stylized method. He loves his craft and paints from his heart and that's almost all many need to know to understand his artwork.
